“Transtec” is the flagship brand of Bangladesh Lamps PLC (BLL) – the pioneer of world-class lighting solutions in Bangladesh and the only lighting & Accessories company in the country listed on the stock market. Incorporated in 1962 as a subsidiary of Philips Holland NV, BLL began its journey by manufacturing Philips bulbs in the then East Pakistan. In 1993, TRANSCOM, one of Bangladesh’s leading and fastest-growing business conglomerates, acquired BLL and continued producing and marketing Philips lighting products under a licensing agreement. Today, under the Transtec brand, BLL continues to lead the lighting industry while expanding into Electrical Accessories to meet evolving consumer needs.
